Chakri Inampudi
Chakri Inampudi grew up in Andhrapradesh, a state in south India. He came to the United States in 1991 to continue school. He did his first year Internal Medicine studies at East Tennessee State University. He did his residency in Nuclear medicine and Diagnostic Radiology at University of Alabama, Birmingham, and his Vascular and Interventional Fellowship at the same place. He specializes in Interventional and Vascular Radiology.
Inampudi knew he wanted to be a Radiologist by the time he was in his third year of medical school. One of his mentors told him, “in the future, no diagnosis of any significance will be made without imaging.” “I also choose radiology because being a good Radiologist meant having a broader understanding of Medicine and Surgery while correlating with high tech imaging,” said Inampudi. “I haven’t been disappointed.”
Dr. Inampudi and his wife Sajani moved to Anchorage to join Alaska Radiology Associates and Providence in 1999. “This has been a great opportunity,” said Inampudi. “It’s allowed me to develop a comprehensive interventional radiology program, PET program, as well as spearhead other imaging programs. I’m fortunate to work with a tremendous team of committed people, from the group of radiologists at ARA to the technical and clerical staff at Providence. They work hard and play hard.”
“Providence Imaging Center, like the hospital’s radiology department, is dedicated to providing its customers - physicians and patients alike - with the highest quality medical imaging in a caring and comfortable environment. Being involved with both organizations continues to be a great experience.”
